Would someone be so kind as to post a picture of an ANACS holder from the side? Maybe not quite dead on, but angled just a hair. I would just like to see one. I've never paid much attention to them before and have not actually held one in my hand. Are they basically like the NGC holders, just a little smaller? Thanks in advance. Oh, this may seem silly, but when you pronounce the ANACS name, do you say Anacs, like it's a word or do you say each letter? e.g. A, N, A, C, S Just a couple of goofy inquiries.
You can it like this....Ann X.....at least that is how their workers say it... I'll try to get a photo of one next to a NGC holder. Speedy
Thanks Speedy! I know that you're a huge fan of ANACS. Do you like their quality of grading? Do you like the holders? Do the coins fit snuggly in the holders and not rattle around? -tcore-
Thanks a lot Bone! I really appreciate you posting those pictures. That was very helpful! On a side note, I like your 1819 50C piece. It's nice! As you may have seen in a different thread, I just bought my first Bust Half the other day and can't wait to get it.
No problem, I have a few (bust halves) of them, it can get addicting though . I get one every-so-often when I can convince the wife Bone
Thanks Bone for posting the photos...I was out hutning They like all grading Co. overgrade some and undergrade some....they use Market grading like all of the TPG so really they are like NGC and PCGS but most think that ANACS don't grade as good...I disagree...sure they mess up but I like what I have seen. The coins are snug....the holders are fine...a larger size wouldn't be bad but just the same I think they should stay with the smaller size. Speedy
But many dealers and big time collectors don't like the small size...they say they don't fit in and they are not handy to pack and move from place to place....Mr Taylor asked me to call him in JAN and he said that then he would be able to tell me about the size of the holder...if they would change or stay... Speedy
Thanks for all of the replies! I have a few coins that I've been thinking about getting graded. Personally, I would probably prefer to get them graded by NGC. However, I think a couple of the older ones may be cleaned and ANACS would still take care of those. Also, I don't think they're necessarily worth enough to pay the cost of NGC or PCGS. ANACS at $10 or $12 per coin plus shipping/insurance seems like it might be right up my alley for what I'm looking for.
