Help Appreciated! Correct error and approximate value would be great! I beieve I paid $15 for it. Was in my folder with no value
Never seen anything like it. If that is a reeded edge the diameter looks to be smaller, and DIME is upside down and doesn't follow the curve of the edge. It looks off to my eyes but there are many experienced members here who can educate
I would say its a partial brockage. https://www.error-ref.com/brockage-partial/ Not sure of value. https://coinauctionshelp.com/brokage-strike-mint-error/
Indent Strike or Partial Indent is used for a coin that was Struck Through a Blank or Planchet. https://www.error-ref.com/indent-partial/ Big difference.
In hobbyspeak, an "indent" refers to an indentation made by an unstruck planchet. A partial brockage is an indentation generated by a previously-struck coin and that therefore features incuse, mirror-image design elements.
I'm not an expert but I do think that this is a wonderful error coin that I would be proud to own. Thanks for sharing with us.
