Obverse of Peace Dollar? Most are melt (about $20 oz. today) with the Mercury dimes possibly having a premium, but low in those conditions.
Very cool coins to have in your collection. I especially like the Mercury dimes. I agree that they are not worth much more than the silver spot price for them. Here is a site I find very helpful to quickly determine the silver value/content of a handful of coins like that. http://coinapps.com/silver/coin/calculator/ Oh, but we'd definitely need to see the other side of the Peace Dollar to confirm if it's worth more than spot price or not.
Need to see the obverse of the Peace Dollar and the 10% of the missing reverse. You cut off the edge where the mint mark goes. Silver is good, in any shape and condition but with coins, the better the condition the better the pricing.
As already noted by the others these are common date, circulated coins with an actual value at around melt. My suggestion is to give each coin a simple over night soak in acetone to remove any lingering surface contaminates. Then put each coin in a 2X2 flip neatly labeled with the year, mint mark (if any) and most importantly include your grandmothers full name with title and store them properly for future generations. This will make the coins priceless.
