Any coins that you get in change that would be some thing you save or collect would be great to share your finds with all of us. Still many fine pieces just waiting to be found.

I've been hoarding my change for the last few weeks since the last search-and-roll. I saw a few nicer coins, a couple of Wheeties, but I haven't scrutinized the lot. I have only scrutinized the quarters looking for West Points, but no luck there.

If you add 1001 to the serial number that has 6xx1 you get 7xx2 not 7xx1, unless I'm missing something.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Interesting change: three 50s Jefferson nickels in the same exchange. Then a couple of centennial Lincoln cents from a couple of other exchanges. Might have been nicer if they were nickels or dimes, but nice to see amongst the myriad of LSCs out there.

Today’s find. I always get a little excited when I see a coin with patina coming my way.

    Another common, older Jefferson -

I was thinking about this and trying to remember if I ever snagged play money in change. Found plenty of it while CRHing, cents mostly, but I’m not sure if I got some in change.

I spent the holidays with my family in New York. A close family friend of ours blessed me with $880 of accumulated pocket change to peruse. For a coin collector this was a Christmas present for the ages. The highlight finds were 13 high mintage wheat pennies ranging from 1919-1957, one war nickel, one silver dime, two 2009-P
low mintage dimes, and two 2020-W quarters.

I posted this on a different thread not too many weeks back. I was at Cumberland Farms, This was in my change that came out of the little machine next to the register that dispenses the coins to the customer 2925C429-14C1-4CD0-B218-7F2165232F7C.jpeg 5B2259A0-EDA7-499B-9BF3-CF9628A17B59.jpeg almost 90 years old!

Wow!! That was a thoughtful Christmas gift!! Nice when that happens as it is an infrequent event. Great finds!

Bravo on that 1934. That matches my oldest silver quarter find in change. Also the oldest $20 bill in change too.

In addition to coin collecting another hobby of mine is frequenting casinos every now and then. The coin changing machine will sometimes produce surprising coinage. On two separate transactions I received a wheat penny in the change hopper.
