I paid too much (not really) but I'm really happy I bought this one Sellers Pic's but lots of em (seller posted over a dozen)
Yep, nice coin and I agree, from the photos provided, obverse photos are blurred, a nice crusty AU-55. Nice addition to anyone's collection.
Love the coin. Really difficult to see any wear. I assume that it is not a 9 over 6 or 8 (hard to tell from the photos). My guess is AU-58. If not for the little bit of grime on the coin (it doesn't look like toning from the photos), I would have guessed MS-61 or 62.
I think AU-58 as well. Really doesn't look 'crusty' to me as the others have said. Au-58, if you ask me, is a better coin to have than a real low MS.
AU55. The way I read the photos I think it had a gentle cleaning to remove some gunk ( edit: or dark toning). Possibly straight graded though. JMHO
Au. Detail cleaned...or dipped it's a nice specimen and...being a zeries I know well just looking at the stars and devices it was at one time in an album and it toned dark. This is typical of half dimes... not I have seen coins as such grade straight by all TPG's. In fact I have some in my collection. Now give me a better image of the date and ill give you the variety.
What do you think about this one? Sorry about poor photo quality. Yeh, a copy. Needed it as a filler for my Dansco half dime album, lol.
Ok we will wait...as I think from what pups I can see its an V-8 business strike off a proof die, line ups as well as digits gave me a parshal answer.
Trying this again, with better photo shots. Again, just a copy for Dansco album slot, but looks decent for a copy filler. Why do I need a filler, rather than the real deal? In case anyone asks, just look up the price for one.
It was more of a rhetorical question, and not an effort to "trap" you into guessing (as I indicated it was a "copy" in the posts). You indicated half dimes were a type of coin you had interest in, and thought you might find the copy of some interest. For what it's worth, I have a label in my Dansco album for that slot that clearly states it's a copy, in case I kick the bucket and someone decides to liquidate my collections. My hope is that, someday, I'll be able to fill that slot with a label that says "see PCGS slab, grade G-X or VG-X/XX" for an authentic one. That's what I do for slots in my album that rely on a slabbed coin.
I'm very aware of the values of H-10's prior to 1829, as any from 29 to 1873. I am also very much against any form of counterfeit goods ,and or money. I have no interest other than having any destroyed , as well reported as counterfeits. Unless the word COPY is stamped on the coin either obv. Or rev. To each their own...
Yeh, okay, I'll avoid asking you any rhetorical ... correct that ... any questions in the future. If I need a sermon, I'll head to the local church. Geez.
