Hello, I was wondering if you could tell me if this coin has DD or if it is something different. Also what do you think in terms of rarity and even if thats a big deal. My research I havent come across any that appear to have another stick coming out of the maple stem at that specific point. But that doesnt mean its a big deal either. Thank you kindly.

One is a 1947 Canadian cent with the maple leaf and the other one is a 1969 D

You'd probably have better luck posting this as its own thread in the Errors forum, even if you found the coins while roll-searching.

Both coins look like very minor machine doubling to me, not die doubling.

From one of the credit union Loomis rolls.
There were a couple Maya's in the roll too, so the W's are definitely still hiding in plain sight
And this is my favorite W design!

On Thursday my banker friend called me and let me know that the bank had just packed up a bunch of coins getting ready to ship them off to what ever bank they send their excess to, she ask if I wanted to pick up any of them and of course I agreed.
    3 boxes of Nickels
    4 boxes of pennies
    2 rolls of quarters
(did not take the dimes) do not like messing with them.
    and finally
    14 rolls of halves.
    Results:
    6 wartime nickels, 3 Buffalo(no dates)
    1 1963 quarter and
    7 JFK dated between 1965-1970
    1 worn smooth WL half
    2 1964 JFK
So far I have only busted 7 rolls of pennies and only found 6 wheaties.
I basically have to take them when they get them in, if I don't they may quit calling me and this person has made me quite a bit of $$$ with some of the coins that have been turned in.
I will have to write later about the "Grandma"coins turned it that I was VERY fortunate to get.

One nickel box produced a low mintage 1938-D Jefferson and a sexy looking 1964 that maybe is a proof. Opinions please on the possible proof. Thanks!

The early decade count was two from the 30s which included a 1939, three from the 40s, and seven from the 50s. For the San Francisco fans there were seven during the 1968-1970 era.

One CWR of halves from one bank yielded an entire roll of really crusty 1971-79 halves. Oh well, I'll periodically keep trying.

These customer rolls were NOT from a coin collector :joyful:
My teller told me that the customer quarter rolls and small dollars were from the same person, and she described him as very very old lol!

Clearly someone enjoyed chips and a sandwich while rolling, that was my first clue o_O

First roll had a W :cigar:

Another roll, crazy toner. Someone probably took a lighter to it, but it works so well with the design lol! :D

My favorite head teller, the one who has periodically successfully ordered me Ikes in the past, was on maternity leave for 4 months and returned to work at the bank about 2 months ago.

Since she returned to work, I have been periodically dropping off cookies to her and the other tellers. Of course, I check with her about ordering Ikes and I also buy all the bank's halves whenever I drop off cookies.

Today, I finally received some good news from my her...she called and told me she was able to order Ikes again, this time 999 (unusual number) of them. She said they should arrive NLT Thursday.

I am excited, and will keep you all posted!
