Strike through progression

    You'll note that these three Sally Ride quarters have a strike through on the band on Washington's hair. Is this sequence correct, with the larger having been struck first and subsequent strikes becoming smaller as die matter is lost or is it vice-versa? 1-2-3, or 3-2-1? strikethru.jpg

    If die matter is being lost, and in your pics it looks like it is to me, then it's not a strike though at all - it's a die break that is progressively getting bigger as the die continues to break with more pieces falling out in that area.

    In those pics I'd have to say the strike sequence runs 3 - 2 - 1 with 3 being first.

    Interesting. I don't see it as any type of die break, so a strike through makes sense, but as to progression, I'm not sure. Maybe @Fred Weinberg, @paddyman98 or @JCro57 has seen this before.
