Well dang it! I don't know why sometimes when I paste an image of something it doesn't show up. I'll try again.
Fun Bookend note and for only $5, I'd keep it. In case you haven't run across these sites, you might like to give them a look. https://oldmoneyprices.com/serial-numbers/ https://www.aol.com/paper-money-value-serial-numbers-170021578.html http://coolserialnumbers.com http://www.coolnumbers.com/crunch.asp?source=1&serial=83999983&type=1
Not a bookend note but really close. Not a repeater or a radar note. It would have to be 83999938. but still a cool note.
I would keep because it is a nice find.. Here is something that might help you. There is a updated grid out there but I don't have that one..
Sorry but that’s not a bookend. The 8 and the 3 are in the wrong positions. It’s as close as they come though.
The note you posted with serial # 83999983 is in fact a Bookends Note. I do Retract my statement of "Not a bookend note but really close." in my previous post. I do apologize for posting it. See this post. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/bookend-brief-availability.398159/ A bookend note is when the first two serial numbers are the same as the last two, and the four inside numbers are solid. They are neat numbers and just as rare as the radars 12000021 or 35888853 but few people collect them.
