....do you mean the mailman ignores the fact that he is delivering:

coinage, coins magazine, numismatist, numismatic news, mint ads, coin

    packages...................yadda yadda :D

no, the letter carrier (mine is a lady) doesn't deliver any of those to my home. I get them online, and she has no way of knowing!

Im thinking of getting a digital subscription finally but I had a question, do I have access to all their previous issues or only from the time I order till the subscription ends?

Here is something to consider. Safety. Of course if you live in a realy fantastically safe area, no problem getting magazines or newsletters in your mail. I for one live in an area where such items possilbly sticking out of a mail box is like putting up a sign saying this house to be robbed next. Last week one more home invasion about two blocks from me. Had two home invasions on my block in the last few years. One put people in the hospital and the robbers asked where are all the coins.
And even if your mail box is large enough to completely hold that magazine, remember someone brings them there and we get about one new mail person every few weeks around here.
Not to many people in the wrong areas take the chances with coin, gun, knife, etc types of magazines today. Most used to come in discrete covers but lately to save money, what you see is what you get and what the world sees in your mail. All you need in some areas is a coin magazine sticking out of a mail box and the word spreads as to that house having all that money just sitting there.
If you really want such information and live in a risk type area, I suggest using the internet for safety purposes.

You did the right thing....People are crazy you try to give them a life line and they want to pull you over board with them! I have freinds who are major coin dealers who after a show they drive around for hours....no were near their home to see if anyone is following them. As far as the scammers go you better be one step ahead of them. And to thoses who don't want to hear the honest truth tough Luck !

I got the digital subscription a long time ago, funny thing is out of the blue I started getting paper copy in the mail. It started with the ship of gold issue so I thought it was just because it was a special one but then last months came too.

....it's pretty tough to keep mail from being noticed. you're bound to get mail

coin related whether or not you get coin world online or whatever. let's not

forget the mail that will come that you have little control over that is coin

related. for example: if you deal with the mint you will get ads from them

sooner or later. the same with heritage or any other coin company or coin

supplies. this is inevitable. how many times have you received post cards

from the mint? this can be seen by anyone that you are a collector by a mailman

or anyone else that sees your mail hanging out of the mailbox. and don't forget

the companies that sell your address to other related coin companies. it's tough

to guard against low life snooping eyes.

All partially true. HOWEVER, in the past I too have received such post cards or other items in the mail. I've notified the USMint to stop and they did. I've notified some organizations that USED to send me cards about upcoming coin shows and they too stopped. I get no coin, gun, knife, sword, etc types of magazines or newsletters in the mail. In one instance I continued to get info from a coin company so I simply called their 1-800 number and told them I was dead. They too stopped.

.....that's great carl. i still think a lot of them just don't get the memo or just

don't care and will send stuff anyway. just have to be 'on guard'

    at all times. :smile

Maybe it was just something special considering Coin World is a WEEKLY publication. :)

Buy something... anything at all from Littleton and you will get deluged with junk mail that is very obviously coin related. Anybody seeing my junk mail that didn't know any better might think I have all kinds of rare expensive valuable coins in my house. A thief thinking that would be pretty disappointed.:headbang:

PO Boxes are nice for not having stuff or junk at your front door for the world to see.

As I was reading this thread a thought occurred (It doesn't happen often ) If anyone is worried about the PO or someone else seeing there weekly copy of a coin mag, why not get a post office box?

    Regards,
    Stan

After reading this thread i went on to Numismatic News Web site. If your looking for a great deal on a magazine i suggest NN, a i did have it for two years and am now getting it again, but this time for a few dollars more i am getting the on line subscription which gives me discounts etc. It is there VIP plan, or what ever they call it. It is a sweet deal i think i was i going to pay $30 /yr and for a little more i get a lot more, which i will save when i start buying more books.

    Regards,
    Stan
