Is that a fact?! (I guess IYO, his facts are wrong?!) To more than a few (thousand?) people though, I'm sure his facts are "inarguable!" That's why his fans share your fondness of facts; it makes it so easy for them to prove to you that Rush is Right!

And now we have moved from philosophical to political :D

I hear some suspicion of Historians...yet you seem to trust the Human Biologists without a second thought!

I trust what is provable. I distrust things/folks who argue against facts and try to manipulate the truth. But I'll bite. Take me down the right wing road and tell me how I trust human biologists and how that conflicts with simple facts. I'm all ears.

I have no doubt that his fans think he's wonderful, and when they put him on a coin is when I'll get out of the coin hobby. I think I'm safe though.

    I'll give you one, but I know it's dated;

Back in the 60's my mom had severe reactions to the pill and the doctors told her there was no way it was related to the pill (which at the time was what, 10 times todays dose?) I know what you're thinking, we've come a long way since then and today's doctors would never be so dismissive of a woman's unscientific opinion of what's happening to her body!

My only point was that while you are on the opposite ends of the political field, you share the same philosophical locker room!

I never said I trusted the medical, for profit, industry. I'm not sure how you correlate that to my previous comments, but maybe I'm missing something. :goof:

I was just guessing that medical science was based on "facts" about Human Biology...
Hey, how's this for on topic?:

I have no doubt that coin collecting will do wonders for my ability to remember the presidents and their wives in order!

I not think like that, Colombus is also there in Coins, they are not a president

I doubt seriously I share any philosophical ground with Rush or most of his fans. Point taken though.

Medical science's growth has been stunned since the advent of massive profit. Not really profitable to cure anything. Facts tend to get in the way there too. Guess that's why we're 27th in the world behind Portugal as far as medical treatment of its citizens. Profit that is.

I can't say I'd remember most of the president's wives. The recent would stand out for sure, but, Washington...was he even married?? I do know Washington is on the quarter!

    Tom,

Are you planning to release your hostage?

    You know! This thread.

Sure...I'll release the hostages..but not until I become president.

Sorry Lehigh. Didn't mean to do a hostile corporate takeover.. Thread released.

I didn't think I saw you on the First Spouse threads!

    Here's another lesson I've learned:

Don't be afraid to call NGC and ask! I spent 2 weeks worrying about it and when I called, they fixed it right away, no problem!

I violated my rule (above) and lost out on this auction. :crying:

I don't know anything about ancient coins, but liked this one. Does anyone know if it would have been a good catch had I won...from a "value" prespective?
