Ink smear or damage

    That's a new one for me. How does the surface feel? Rough, then damage.

    looks to me to be damage, as if caused by a cheap eraser.

    It does not feel rough to me but my fingers are like sandpaper from too much work lol

    Looks like some sort of abrasion. My guess would be damage.

    It looks like someone took a cotton swab or Q-Tip soaked with acetone or something similar and rubbed it back and forth, trying to remove the ink to create an "error".

    It’s definitely unusual. My initial thought was Post BEP trauma. I would need to have it in hand to tell for sure. Feel it, smell it and examine it magnified, under a bright light. Regardless what it ends up being, it’s minor and on a well worn note. So there’s that…

    I would guess abrasion or after printing damage. It appears to have gotten a bit of the serial number which is third printing as well as the face printing which is the second printing. I would think that if it were an ink smear, it would only affect one, not both printings.
