Just received this Seated Quarter that I won on Ebay. I definitely got a bargain on it, but I couldn't quite get the steal - it jumped from $9 to $51 in the last second. If only that other guy had bid $40 instead I could have posted this in the under $50 thread. It was listed as an 1875 Philadelphia. I promised you that this Seated Quarter would not disappoint!

This is probably my first real scarce CC coin with only 140k minted - every other CC coin I own is one of the "common three" dimes plus my 1876-CC quarter. These have recently sold for around $150-200 in this grade which is about what the 1875-CC 20c sells for in Good, however the quarter is much scarcer than the 20c (of which far more examples were saved from circulation). Definitely excited to have this one!

Nice coin, with honest circulation wear. Great acquisition.

I love it!! I remember buying one very similar to it when I was a kid. My dad took me to a pawn shop and I remember buying an 1875 and 1877 quarter. I bought the 1875 because it was 100 years before my birth year. Then I discovered what a mint mark was later that day when looking it up in my Redbook, both were "CC". I wish I remembered what I did with them. But thank you for the stroll down memory lane!
