Hoping someone might recognize this ancient coin? I'm thinking it's a Celtic imitation but I'm not really knowledgeable on them and haven't found this particular design online. Any opinions would be appreciated!
Don't know much of Celtic imitation either. The flan seems to be cup-shaped, maybe it is from the Sénones (Area of Sens). But let's better wait until someone knowledgable of Celtic coinage jumps in.
Looks like a stater of the Coriosolites, a tribe associated with N.W. Gaul and the Channel Islands. The spiraled hair is very distinctive. An enormous hoard of similar coins was found on Jersey in 2012. https://www.jerseyheritage.org/learn/jerseys-celtic-coin-hoard/
