Below, find images of an 1864 2 cent piece from my collection. There is damage at upper right on the obverse. It appears that the ‘4’ is unusually ‘high’. All comments welcome.
Date appears marginally rotated counter-clockwise and closer to the ball than others. Similar to this one perhaps. https://coins.ha.com/itm/two-cent-p.../1311-7163.s?ic4=GalleryView-Thumbnail-071515
Thanks to Treashunt and KBBPLL for their responses. I examined many examples on-line and found none that matched. It appears that the Heritage coin is similar to the coin in hand but with the entire date entered high and symmetric with respect the the tip of the shield. My example exhibits the 18 low and to the left of the center of the tip of the shield. The left side of the 6 appears to align with the center of the tip of the shield. Many thanks to T & K for the help!
