I use for my coins the saflips coin flips. I know that are one of the best solutions out there. I got an album of the company lighthouse. The pages don't seem PVC free at all. The coins will never come directly in touch with the album pages, as they will be inside the saflips. Should I though be still be worrying for PVC damage? And even of the coin is safe would the saflip holders get greenish as the time will go by?
PVC puts off a gas that OVER TIME will have an adverse effect on your coins even in the safe flips. Semper Fi Phil
If the saflips are going into a PVC plastic coin page you’ll have problems later on with those coins. No PVC around your coins. PERIOD
Why not seal them in exact size rounds. No chance of moving around as in flips and absolutely no PVC. Just a thought.
If the Lighthouse product is relatively new, it's unlikely they are still using PVC (but possible of course). You may want to contact them and ask what yours is made from instead of speculating it may be harmful.
