My 1955 D penny unique error ???

    Came across this coin last night hunting through change jar collection. Weighed 3.08 g The reverse has a unique error. I am a amateur so don't smack me down for ignorance, Thanks 20220613_215227.jpg

    Nice find, Die chips are commonplace for the 50's LWC's. Unique is a strong word
    for a die chipped coin. I would not use it to describe such a coin.

    There are thousands of different die breaks on many Wheat Cents. It's neat but not unique.

    Using only your photos, I'm seeing what appears to be a die chip AND damage. Looks like the T took a hit where the chip goes under it. Interesting look.

    I think it was damage from a coin counting machine that used a metal finger that sometimes bent to rise above the coin surface and move metal. Similar to Mountain Man's idea. Jim
