Next time you make a purchase somewhere, especially at a fast food restuarant, pay with a $2 bill, a half-dollar, an Ike dollar, a S.B.A dollar, and a Sacki dollar ALL AT ONCE. Let us all know what happens.
I use Ike's ,Kennedy's and Sac for tips When using the Ikes I get " Is this Real" I guess some people have never seen them I had a waitress refuse 2 Dollar bills one time " these arn't real I want real Money" Till her Manager came over and informed her they where He took them to the register gave her $6.00 out of the till and put the 2's in his pocket when she stated see real money!!! LOL Paul
I go to the bank and ask for this stuff and put it in circulation,I get all kinds of replys, to even "Whats this?".
I had a girl at McHeartAttack tell me I paid her too much when I gave her 6 halves for something that was less than $3. She insisted they were dollars. I had to point out the writing on them that indicated they were half dollars. The one that surprised me the most was when I handed the clerk an Ike, SBA, Sac, and half dollar. He didn't even blink or look at them twice. He just took them and gave my correct change. It was like he saw them every day. It really ruined my fun for the night!

I get SBAs and Sacs all the time from the Post Office stamp machine and from a $5/$10 bill changer at work. I recycle the SBAs into the coffee machine and leave the Sacs as tips. Nobody says anything, least of all the coffee machine.
I love searching halfs in small numbers and spending the rest. Another way to have fun is to buy smething with $4.00 in pennies and watch the loke on the persons face as they count 400 pennies.
I think I have once used a Sac, a half and a $2 bill in a transaction at a USA post office. The half got the twice over, the rest were easily accepted.
I stoped by McDonalds this morning on my way to work. I paid with 1 SBA and 2 SAC's. The girl said she knew what the SBA was but had to check with the manager to see if the SAC'S were real dollars!!! coinsngolf
Hi, When the SACs first came out, I was spending them by the roll. I went to a nice restaurant and when it was time to pay, I took out the rolls and took out the number of coins I needed. They wouldn't take them . They told me that they "don't take Mexican money". I had to point out that they were new coins and that they were U.S. money. I even used to carry a local newspaper's article around about the release of the coins just to prove it Even after the explanation, they wouldn't accept the coins. I told them they were legal United States Coins, I showed the manager where it said so on the coin. They still refused to take them! Fortunately, a friend I was with was a police officer and I asked him to explain the finer points of the Sacagawea dollar to our host No problemo!! Have Fun, Bill
The two or three 7-11's I frequent amost ALWAYS have Sac's and SBA's in the till.I'm not sure why but it's at least 75% of the time.I used to ask for them but ended up "re-circulating" them all.It was always 2000 Sac's and 1989 SBA's anyway.
Of the three coins, they always seem to look hardest at the JFK halfs. Also, many clerks seem never to have seen a $2 bill.
i just used 3 ikes and 6 franklin halves to purchase something from a fast food place a few hours ago, 4 of the franklin halves were proof that came strait out of the proof packaging (i took it out myself). i got them from some coin grab bag (blah blah i know, i don't buy grab bags anymore) and didn't really care for them so i took them out and used them.
I collect them coins!!!!!!!!!!....what were the dates and I hope that they didn't have any CAMEO on them.............. Speedy
oops i meant jfk halves! haha... (it was a complete P & D set one from the late 80's and other from the early 90's, forgot exact dates)
I paid for $250 worth of groceries and stuff for my dorm in half dollars once. Once the guy behind the register figured out that they were real, he proceeded to count them all, and then try to find a place for them in his till.... that was just funny as hell to watch! ~AJ
Big backpack.... it was an experiment to see how people would react to this type of situation. I did the same thing with $100 in nickels and $60 in pennies 2 other times, but the half dollars is the cooler story.
