It’s been a few years, but I am back to write new articles on the happenings of Coin TV. For those new to my write-ups, I critique and highlight the who, what, when, where, and why of Coin TV programming by shining a light on various Coin TV shows such as The Coin Vault, RCTV Rick’s U.S. Coins, HSN The Vault, CSN, AVC America’s Value Channel, Chopper’s Collectible Coins and more! I will critique a particular shows’ offerings and rate their Programming Quality, Show Hosts, Value/Prices, Customer Service, Entertainment Value, and Shipping. I will explain the TV Tricks of the Trade when it comes to Coin TV, and give a fair & unbiased look into the Coin TV of today. Two articles I am working on now include a comprehensive review of Mike Meezak’s HSN The Vault, and Rick Tomaska’s RCTV new label signing offerings and deal just announced by NGC. Be sure to keep a keen eye open for these to be published soon, exclusively on Coin Talk. Any comments always welcome! See you soon! Jeff
Glad to hear that. I had my share of hate mail and was nearly sued (SPOILER ALERT!) by one of the TV Coin shows I reviewed a few times. More about that later…
Following along and looking forward to your write ups. Please do link the article in this thread so we don't miss the 'premier'.
I, and believe possibly many more "visitors/supporters" of this site may view the shows with a subjective overview that "prices are unrealistic". It is a challenge for me to locate "a better deal" while the show is being broadcast. We've discussed, I believe eventually objective, some shows here before. I/we hope you will visit as a site supporter, and have other objective options for procurement. I believe the majority here probably see limited value in acquiring product from the shows, but generally can't locate same with better value, and trust. I would appreciate your constructive insights for improved value/acquisition possibilities. I am Rich/Richard
Absolutely! You will see a new thread started in the Coin Chat section here on Coin Talk when the next write-up is done. Thanks for the comment!
Thank you Rich for your insightful comments and suggestions. I have been and will continue to be objective when reviewing a particular Coin TV dealer. I have purchased, and will continue to purchase (if feasible, of course) offerings from various Coin TV broadcasters. This isn’t a “bash Coin TV dealers simply because they happen to sell on TV” editorial focus. There are many collectors that shop Coin TV exclusively for various reasons. Some Coin TV offerings are better than others, based upon my opinion of watching & shopping them for years. And I happen to be a dealer myself. You may like or not like certain things I say about a particular Coin TV dealer. That’s great. Opinions of Coin TV dealers are generally negative, but I will be objective on all aspects of their programming. Hopefully for the benefit of Coin Talk readers.
I will be featuring Mike and HSN in a soon to be published write-up. You are wise to shop anything you see on Coin TV. About 90% of the time, eBay offerings will be a better buy, apples to apples.
