I have a question that I hope someone can answer. WHY is something that was started on 7/9/2010 and has as of this posting have 694 pages in CT? What am I missing? I can see this if it was a post-to-post thread but who the hell has the time to go back through 694 threads/posts and for what reason?
No disrespect but if one spends his time reading ALL the previous you will never get to read what is current.

It's just a fun thread. It's cool that it's (mostly) an unbroken chain with thousands of coins connected. It's neat to see other people's coins from the same year or series. It makes you remember coins you forgot you had. It inspires new pursuits. What's not to like?

I don’t think anyone should try to read all the pages in this thread. No particular reason for this thread, other than fun.

Just put the thread on ignore and you won't have to see it.

I only have 66 certified coins and a few raw pieces. I think I have used almost all of them in this thread at one time of another. It's fun to participate and see what comes next, etc. It's a cool tradition. How long will it last? How would it end? Existential questions....

I do have a real question. A while back gold coins were made into wild cards and medals always were - is that still correct? Wild cards meaning any coin could follow?

    I believe that is correct.

No. Gold, medals and Comms. are wild. If a gold coin is played, you can play any gold coin. If a medal is played you can play any medal. Wild does not mean you can play anything. It's been the same for many years. You can always play off of the date of anything with anything. This was all done to help keep the thread from getting stuck.
