So I know Bitcoins are a virtual currency, and that some individual businesses have taken it upon themselves to "mint" some physical tokens that represent the currency, but grading a Bitcoin as MS65? That takes the cake. Maybe I am just getting old, but I just don't get the whole unregulated virtual currency thing. Anyway, gave me a laugh, thought you may enjoy as well. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2013-ANACS-MS-65-Casascius-1-BTC-Collector-Token-Physical-Coin-/201038456781
if tats real im going to kick my 1995 ms68 ddo on the street and place this b******s**T in its plac cause they dumb as hell
my question where there any other bit coin token minters ??? since btc are virtual legal tender then shouldn't they have made a link design to a trading post or its encryptonographer
so if every btc physically minted is equal to a war time trade token. I can mint my own btc and it would be legal tender??
Not really. Think of these physical bitcoins almost like a gift card you would get from a retailer like Target or Walmart. You dont really want the plastic card, you want the account # where the money is held. Now if Walmart made a "collectible" gift card out of a precious metal, then maybe it would be worth something. Either way, if you were to buy this bitcoin, you really want the account #/key that comes with it to be able to access and spend the currency virtually. I think the whole unregulated mess will eventually collapse. Again, I am probably just old and cranky, and don't get it. Now get off my lawn.
i think its funny how they sayd its unregulated you create its value , its cryptocoinage is like paypal credits...
what I meant by war tokens is by saying it is attached to something like a paypal or store credit.. that is viable tender specifically designed to a end~user license credit
Hey, welcome to CT! If you want to talk BTC (and your username suggests you might), there's an ongoing thread with current discussion -- dredging up threads that have been dead for eight years tends to distract people from the actual topic at hand. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/so...lection-in-order-to-purchase-bitcoins.225459/
I do not know which is worse , bitcoins and similar tokens , or politicians ( all species and levels) . Both claim they are valuable to you , take your money for a symbol of value which is imaginary , and expect you to encourage others to join with hope, praise, commitment , and most important , more money. IMO. Jim
