Help ID and approx. value

a friend of mine has this coin. we have no idea of what it is or what its value. the coins has 8mm diameter.

Moroco maybe?

 

could not find it in any krause under moroco... too old for krause?

 

The style of the 6 pointed star is 19th century Morocco, c. 1865, but Krause doesn't list anything that small. In addition, the image isn't good enough for me to see whether the opposite side has a date or not. The correct date would probably be in the 1280s.

there is no date in the coin... I am guessing it is european 11-13th century, but I just have no clue about it. I am not so sure... the star was common in some european countries around that time...

A true puzzle for me...
