nice... not a 64 but nice and I'd have to have it in hand not to call it cleaned/scratched/details... and looking at these pic's not even close to PL nevermind DMPL... but for that price very nice pickup

Lol yea take it out. Only thing the slab is doing is giving some protection, the label has no meaning

Even for a basement slabber, I don't know how they came up with DMPL

Hard to tell whats on the slab or coin.
Is the Big scratch on the nose and the X above the eye on the holder or coin. I see a handful of other deep scratches as well.
I do not see DMPL or PL maybe the pics though.

Lots of carbon spots and a stain on the reverse.

NNC is known as a Basement Slabber. Their "grading" is questionable at best and they never established any credibility within the hobby. The holder means nothing. All NNC coins should be treated as raw coins, which means you need to evaluate the coin on its own and ignore the grade on the slab.

The grade of MS 64 DMPL is nothing more than wishful thinking

Improper cleaning. Probably many years ago.

Actually worse than raw coins in some cases in terms of grading...my opinion/experience. Most coins in any slab other than the big 2 or 3...certainly NNC and other "basement" brands...tend to yield lower grades from PCGS and NGC than if submitted raw. Maybe more often with PCGS than NGC, but you get my point...if considering submitting to PCGS or NGC and slabbed in/with a "basement" brand, better to crack it out and submit it raw.
