    Must be something wrong with the color balance on their image, that photo makes it look like it's silver rather than gold. ;)

    What the? What's that grey looking thing? There much have been some sort of mix up & you had bid on the wrong item?

    I wouldn’t worry about the color mix up too much Pman... my example of the type ended up being purple. :artist::eek::D

    Denarius of Antoninus Pius 159 AD Obv Head right laureate Rv. Male figure standings facing on pedestal within tetrastyle shrine with semi circular arched roof RIC 285 Sear 4077 This coin illustrated 3.10 grms 17 mm Photo by W. Hansen piusd19.jpg At one time the male figure seen on the reverse was identified as a version of Spes, however it seems that more recent scholarship disputes this identification. I have learned two things about this coin during this year. The first was that it is plated in Sear the second that it was in a Superior Auction in 1985
