Hello everyone, Today I did a 6 hour Metal Detecting hunt at Brooklyn's Prospect Park. No silver coins were found this time but I got me some other goodies Indian Head Cent (no date yet) 16 Lincoln Wheat Cents 1922 NYC Chauffeur License.. 100 years old! Musket Ball Miscellaneous Metals - Lighter, Bullet, D Buckle, Dog Rabies Tags, Nut and some pointy metal spike tool thingy. Everything - $8.20 in coins (not including Wheats)
I also ran into a fellow who's on Instagram and YouTube known as Brooklyn Treasure Hunter. Anthony. He found a Buffalo Nickel.
Very cool finds @paddyman98 FYI, the chauffeur license expired in July 1922. Therefore its issue date is already over 100 years old. I wonder if they were annual or multi year licenses?
Neat. Thanks for the information! Here is the first badge I detected a few years ago from 1923. Looks like they went from July to July of the following year.
Cool finds, as always. My meds are messing with me as I was looking for an edible nut, not hardware. LOL The detective in me would want to trace that chauffeur badge to see who it was issued to, then maybe a relative I could give it to. Thanks for the post Ed.
