After seven years. You got the right box to get started again. That's for sure. :)

After my success on Friday (see above posts), I went back to the same bank on Saturday and picked up another quarter box as well as a penny box. I also got a half dollar box from one of my main pickup backs.

Half Dollar Box: 1981S proof (heavily circulated), 1968 40% half

Penny Box: 11 Wheat Cents (earliest was 1937), 4 Canada Cents (earliest 1981), 2000 Wide AM (heavily circulated condition).

Quarter Box: After finding 5 silvers in my previous box, reality hit and I found no Washington silver coins. However, maybe this is even stranger, I found one lonely foreign coin in the box: 1963 Canada Quarter, yep, 80% silver. And it was an ender to boot.

I got 9 customer rolls of small dollars on Friday and they had about a dozen pink Sac's like this...someone was playing with copper plating

Went and played in a poker tournament this weekend, got a roll of halves in the casino and this was in it, clad but so cool to find in a single roll!

Later got 2 bucks of quarters for the mixed nut vending machine in the casino, they are super duper nice!

I went through 40 rolls of Quarters and found 1 "W" mintmark: a Connecticut Weir Farm. Called my bank and picking up more rolls Wednesday.

Hi Hunters! It's been oh so long. Many life things have changed, c'est la vie. Yesterday I had a rare opportunity of having transportation available so I took a shot on some hunting. Nice to know stuff is still out in the wild. Got 1/2 box of BWR halves and pulled a 40% and 2 90% including a surprise Bennie. I hope to go back Wed to clear that bank as they supposedly have more. HH, all! 20220607_011721.jpg

Oof, a bit of bad news today. Went to dump the halves from Monday at Jeanne D'arc and their coin machines no longer accept halves! This must've changed during the pandemic. Anyone know of any banks north of Boston other than DCU where loose halves can be dumped?

That's really surprising. With all the yammering about coin shortages, there was some pressure to start circulating halves again, and the 2021s (I think) were in fact issued for circulation. Completely nuts that someone would stop accepting them.

Last I checked, the self-checkouts at Walmart would accept them -- when you're lucky enough to find the self-checkouts accepting cash at all.

Stopped me in my tracks. Sorry for these not great pics above, I was excited and saved the wrong photos lol.

I see VERY few toners here in Denver from local Loomis rolls (for 30 years now). I'm guessing it's our absurdly dry air. Denver and the "Front Range" are technically a high-plains desert.

This is a total luster bomb and the toning shows from almost any angle.
I loooove the way it lines up with his portrait and his tie and neckline...I like it a lot.

It was obviously exposed to something but it's just lovely in hand.
    Flipped it over and Doh!

That bright green is old paint or something, it's got thickness...he's taking an overnight dip in some stuff and then maybe acetone too...and maybe that answers that question about what caused the toning.

Switching to a quarter box did not produce any silver but a few fun finds none the less. Leading the list was a extremely mottled America Samoa 2020 W followed by some early State Series exhibiting AU grade. Concluding the list were a couple of ATB in similar grade.

Picked up a box of nickels, half dollars and was hoping to get a box of quarters (hoping to CRH all 10 of the W quarters). Most of my normal banks were low on quarters but did manage to get $100 worth.

    $100 Nickels:
    • Not yet searched, will CRH tonight.

    $100 Quarters:
    • Salt River Bay W quarter

    $500 Halves:
    • 11 modern NIFC (ranges from 2003 to 2019)
    • 1987P and 1987D NIFC
    • 5 x 40% halves (4x67, 68)
    • 1 x 90% (1964)
    • 1 x 1917 Walker (wow!)

Picked up 5 rolls of quarters at my credit union. Saved a nice Acadia, there were 4 Sally Rides, I have a Maya but I wanted a Sally for my album was hoping for a full roll. Not one is great, so I put one in, and I hope to replace it later with a better one.
I had 25 shots at a W, and from the first roll I got San Antonio, which I don't have so I was very happy about that.
