Gold Eid Mar sells for over $2.2M

    Hi everyone.

    The gold Eid Mar from the British Museum just sold for 2,200,000 CHF which is just over $2.2M USD.

    Arguably, one of the most famous coins of the ancient world, this coin was bid on and won by Aaron Berk and HJB, Ltd. as a representative of a collector.

    This is the second time that this coin has been purchased by the Berk firm for clients. Once by Aaron and once by his legendary father, Harlan.

    Many coins from that era are far from
    perfect, everything made by hand by
    several different engravers some good
    some not so much…LOL
