Discoloration on this Barber quarter.

    I bought this Barber quarter on Ebay and there was gunk on the reverse. I soaked it in acetone and there appeared to be toning under the gunk. Does this retract from the value of the coin?

    Looks like it left a stain. Not the worst thing, but I would consider it detracting from the eye appeal of the coin.
    The reverse seems to look odd in general.
