Biggest problem for me besides reflection or lack of it/flatness in taking pics is a yellow tinge. After playing for a bit, i discovered if i cut the saturation down about 50% less, it pretty much gets rid of it. Pic 1 has the yellow, and pic 2 is after cutting back the saturation. Curious to know your thoughts on how this looks, and any other ways?

masterswimmer A Caretaker, can't take it with me

Which pic is most representative of the actual coin in hand? And does this pic actually look like the coin does?

The 2nd one, as the first is yellow and its a white metal. A lot of coins are tough to take pics of, this one has an almost Proof Like reflection behind Davis. Here are two more taken at angles.

I assume you are doing your saturation adjustments in a photo editing software application. Are you taking your photos with a camera that has a white balance adjustment? And if you are and are making those adjustments, what are you using for lights? That yellow coloration is usually the result of using lights that are too cool or failing to adjust the white balance or both.

Hi, using Photoshop, Canon D3200, only using sunlight, as i ditched my florescent set up with umbrellas as it made it worse. I have a real tough time getting it right, its either too blue or too yellow. I set up exposure with a grey screen and might want to try that again, as its been a while and the sunlight is at different angles now due to the alighment of the earth.
