To avoid having to decide where to post new acquisitions, I may have to engage in a certain amount of cross-posting!

I've tried that before between FSC, CT and Collect Online. Too much work for lazy me. If I wanted to work for a hobby I wouldn't have retired!

It was very obvious that the group migrated, last time it was to CoinTalk and this time away from it. I knew that so many people hadn't been kicked out of here, I just figured it wasn't back to the original site they left before CT. Jim

I was so upset I couldn't help but do the migration too.
I've found CT such a great place for the last ten years, with lot of fun, friendship and knowledge, that my deception has been immeasurable. I'm really heartbroken (as my avatar says) :(

I plan to still visit here from time to time but it won't be the same I guess.

I'm really sorry of all that messing around

I do enjoy Ancient Coins and have been buying quite a few. However I also enjoy and buy other coins and don't want to restrict myself to just one field. That being said, I just joined the forum at invisionservice.com but probably won't become a dues paying member. Certainly hope some people either come back here or maintain dual citizenship.

Maybe the language but don’t understand. A lot members leave because of the confederate flag avatar to go to new site started by Restitutor the guy with the swatiska avatar ???

As a newcomer who is totally out of the loop on all this drama, I think CoinTalk is awesome and I hope all of you stick around and remain active on the board!

Just signed up to the other forum, but I may or may not continue to use it - the site looks unfinished, with the majority of the tabs inside (e.g. Blogs, Calender etc.) being totally empty. Maybe people will move back to CoinTalk in time.

It's a little sad there was no public post about it (announcing the new forum), and that only some people were told.

Where was an announcement supposed to take place? I can hardly imagine that a thread here on CT telling people to go elsewhere would be allowed. Like others have mentioned, anyone is free to join. It isn't some sort of secret club.

The new forum is just starting up but has already seen a flurry of activity since I joined. I will probably still be browsing CT like I normally do but I wont be as active here as I will on the other site.

because it is unfinished, it was only made a few days ago.

He was making a point about the absurdity of the rules here. While a Nazi flag avatar may be acceptable on CoinTalk, I'm pretty sure no one (especially Restituor himself) will tolerate it on the new forum.

A forum is built and maintained by the active members. The owners/admins/moderators set the rules and enforce them, but the strength of a forum, in my mind, is the participatory acts of the members. This is a great forum. I feel I still belong but much has changed in the long run. I think the scission in politics and beliefs, carrying over into all ways of life and belief will be destructive to us in the long run if it continues.

I have never known of such a thread on CT announcing a new forum of being suppressed unless it was mainly a post for financial support of such. There is no rule about "knowledge" forums just " various selling or financial forums"

Thank you for explanation. Probably a cultural thing. Here in Argentina, use the swatiska for joke or « making a point » you go to jail. Not a sign you touch if you have brain in your head.

I think that is true in Germany also. In the United States, it's in bad taste normally, but not a chargeable offence. The member wasn't exiled for that alone (I think) but for other reasons. In Argentina, is it legal to own coins or paper currency that has swastikas on them (or in Germany for that matter)?
