We have lp4 rot over here on the west coast lol. Last 3 boxes of pennies:
    1 st box:
    7/50 rolls were lp4
    second box:
    117 LP4
    Third box:
    All lp4

I am happy though, lp4 seems to be a promiser, low grade strikes, low quality, low mintage, smells like a keeper.

Searched 40 rolls of customer rolled halves:
    1 40%
    2 90%
    1 Franklin (1962)
2 walkers( 1934,1940) I suspect both have been painted over since they have a weird sheen to them and gloss yet they have been circulated, looking from the eagles chest.

Had this kid come in the store where I work today and spend over 10$ in all change chuckling the whole time like he was pulling one over on me. I saw the silver and was glad to accept the chumps change :p

Been a while since I've done a box of Halves. Overall have to say I'm pretty pleased. Only 1 40% but a total of 15 proofs, including an 86, 87, 91, 97, and 2 99's. Feels great to be able to fill so many holes in the album.

Also did a box of dimes. 1 x 1960 and a BU Burmuda 10 cent. Have to say I love getting the foreign stuff too. Its going to be geography lesson time when the baby is old enough.

Still working through a box of nickels. Hopefully I'll get 1 wartime.

    Teller's loyalty

Guess there are limits to a teller's loyalty lol. I went in to see one of my tellers. She said oh I saved a nice silver half for you it is 1960something. I expected a 40%'er but she pulled out a nice 1961 Franklin. Then she says let me check with the other tellers. She goes to the drive thru area which is behind clear glass. I can also hear her. The teller has $3 and as she hands it to my teller, they both ooh and ahh and at 2 gold halves in the mix. 99% sure they were the gold plated ones. Anyway, she walks back around to me and casually says she had "Two" dollars in halves as she drops 2 of the halves in her drawer hoping I did not notice.

Haha kind of funny as I only wanted the Franklin.

Aggie, your to nice. I think I might have pressed her for the Frankie. But then probably never get anything else in the next times I came back. That's where " No Harm in Trying" doesn't work. It still may not work since she has an idea of what coins might be worth. It's a no winner senario.

This reflects my personal experience only. I live in a rural area. Each bank seems to have their own way of handling this type of customer request. Always check in with the head clerk (the one that does all their coin ordering). At the bank where they are happy to place orders for me, they only require a two box minimum ($1,000 value). They also need about a weeks notice.

I have never been as lucky as you with the roll sorting - Not even close. Remember, never dump all your loose halves at the same bank. Personally, I like the clads a lot. I like their weight and feel, so when I can afford it, I will keep them.

5 dollars worth of cents, 348 Zincolns, 150 coppers, 2 Canadians (one is the 1952-2002 cent, first one I have seen), 2 wheaties, 2 s mints, 1 log cabin, two forative years, 3 carreer years. 4 nice red cents from the 60s that will go in my coin wallet.

What is the metal content of canadian cents?

Sorry, I guess I was not clear. She happily saved and gave me the Franklin knowing it was silver. It was the "gold" coin she hid and kept. Kind of funny as I see those electroplated ones all the time but I guess she had not.

The other 2 boxes had been searched as well. Almost every coin had a fresh black marker dot on it.

I have decided to hit up all my brinks connects, to have them pull all coins of interest for the next month. Essentially tomorrow, they will start pulling them and saving it for me.
So it may get dry, and it may not, however I will let you know what they pull in total at the end of this one month run. I cant wait for all the interesting finds I shall recieve. Some of those coins may have been one of your "finds" however I am too lazy to roll search, and need somehting to keep me entertained.
Also my big connection lets call him "john" is about to do another miracle silver dump. Ill post results sometime tomorrow or tuesday.

    Canadian Bankers Box

Anyone out there know where one could get a bankers box or bag of Canadian Cents, I have a few books and thought it would be fun to do one of those? And buy by the single roll of so is way too expensive!

im not sure, but i have a collection of mixed cents from 1920's-2000's of canadian cents. I dont know how many is in there and quite frankly i don't feel like counting, but your more than welcome to shoot me an offer. I know for a fact there is at least $15 because i bought that from the local dealer for face, i filled the holes that i had and have no use for them.

There were no buffalos made in 1933, probably a '23, or maybe even a 1913. Nice find, though.
