Happy Friday, I believe this to be RIC X 60,A from Constantinople. Do you agree? 16 mm, 2.50 g The draping looks different than Wildwinds, but the WW coin states it's a restrike over a Theodosius coin: https://www.wildwinds.com/coins/ric/arcadius/RIC_0060.jpg https://www.wildwinds.com/coins/ric/arcadius/RIC_0060.txt Thanks! Any Theodosian Bronze that folks want to share?
Yes, RIC X, 60. I'm not immediately certain if the officina is A or Δ. RIC describes the bust type as "draped and cuirassed", "pearl-diademed" (D3).
Nice coin! I love seeing later empire coins posted as they don’t get the love they deserve. Here’s a similar Arcadius with less detail but a larger flan. CONSA RIC IX 60 - Constantinople
Arcadius, A.D. 395-408 AE22, 5.7 grams, Antioch mint Obverse: D N ARCADI-VS P F AVG Rosette-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right Reverse: GLORIA ROMANORVM Emperor standing facing, head right, holding standard and globe Mintmark: ANT Reference: RIC IX Antioch 68C, pg. 294
Here's a mediocre pic of my Arcadius Trier siliqua, possibly issued by Eugenius. I have very few LRBS, and the ones I do are 99% unphotographed.
