I have seen many with dog paws but never with a cat's paw. Considering that nowadays cats love to just get their paws (claws out or not) into everything, especially on wet cement and concrete structures to leave their imprint mostly ruining the surface of the structure by just casually walking over it, I find it hard to believe they wouldn't have done the same shenanigans back in the day. Perhaps in Roman Moesia Superior and Pannonia there weren't a great deal of cats.
Seth, you are right! There aren't a lot of cat prints..Does anyone have info when cats in large numbers began to be in Roman households?
I think you are correct. I have a hand made brick from a plantation house built in approximately 1850ish. But, I believe it to be a coyote print. It's a little more elongated, to me? I've seen a lot of turkey tracks, probably the most type tracks I've seen, but don't remember ever seeing a cat track. Love it!
