    I walk the beach a lot with my metal detector. Best time is when they bring in the sand to build up the beach, never know what you might find. I found this penny and shark tooth bound together. I am guessing it is copper, if it was zinc, would have fallen apart. Am not able to see the date, just the memorial on the back. Thinking this is a one of a kind, wanted to share.

    @Mercy St John that find is unique! I wouldn't try cleaning it up (i.e. soaking) as doing so would destroy the synergy of that conglomeration. You might consider having it mounted in a holder, or encapsulated in Lucite, and made into a pendant.
