Boeotian obol with facing Gorgon

    Here is a pickup from a few months back. It complements some other Boeotian shield types I've got.

    Nice shield coin, @rg3. I like the look of this multi-hued coin with a facing Athena:

    SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Antiochos I Soter (281-261 BC)
    AE (Bronze, 14 mm, 2.66 g, 1 h), Smyrna or Sardes mint.
    Facing bust of Athena, wearing triple-crested helmet. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ - ANTIOXOY Nike standing front, head to left, holding wreath in her right hand and palm frond over her left shoulder; to outer left, monogram; below wing, monogram of ΔI within wreath.
