The orientation is now correct. I can read: Struck in Aleppo. Hope I'm right.

I think so. The date is 1058 (١٠٥٨), which is what must have been taken as Greek letters. Looks like a beshlyk(?) of Mehmed IV. What is the weight?

    I take that it isn't 1058 AD

1058 AH in the Hijri calendar is equivalent to 1648 AD in the Gregorian calendar...

Yep, 1648. It's a rather rare coin, apparently. Album doesn't mention Halab for this type and there are only a couple of examples on Zeno.

Actually, it's probably an onluk (10 akches), rather than a beshlik (5 akches). Album gives the theoretical weight of the onluk at 2.8g and the beshlik at 1.4g. He lists Halab (Aleppo) as a mint for the onluk, Album 1385 (R). Only two examples of this tughra type are listed on Zeno. One at 1.03g is deemed a beshlik and one at 2.62g is catalogued as an onluk.

Unfortunately not. I have never seen this particular type anywhere, so its anyone's guess at the moment...
