Young Victoria UK pennies 1st Portrait: 1854, 1855, 1857

    Got these for $18 for the set of three, not sure if that's a good deal these days.
    Edit: Thread title should say half pennies. These are 28 mm, not 34 mm.
    I recently ordered Freeman's "The Bronze Coinage of Great Britain" but it hasn't arrived yet. Someday I hope to learn to ID some of the numerous varieties.

    These are copper, so not covered by Freeman. Freeman covers 1860-1970. ;)

    Bramah lists two varieties for the 1857 - with or without the incuse dots at the base of the shield.
