The head has differences as well, even when well-worn. Type-1s have a tail-like cap, or spike to the rear of the head/hair...maybe it's a cap but spiked in back...where Type-2 has a rounded, bun-like hairstyle or cap (no spike to rear). Also, for the Type-1 that isn't worn too much to tell, there's an x-rated (bare) breast exposed...where on the Type-2 and for all subsequent issue-years, it's covered by a garment. Think the 1916 and 1917 Type-1 was the only U.S. coin ever with that distinction(?). There were several paper bills, however. As always, going by fading memory so will stand corrected.
