Well, I went to two banks today to trade out 10 rolls of quarters (high)!!! First bank didn't have any Loomis rolls!! (low) So I took the money and went to my other bank to buy some!! (high) They didn't have any Loomis rolls either!! (low) The teller said "I do have some rolls from a laundromat!!! I've read stories about people having luck at laundromats and car washes!! (high) I bought the rolls and couldn't wait to start looking at them!! (very high) First roll nothing but 60's and 70's!!! No silver!!! (low) Second roll the same!!! (lower) Third roll, the same again! Now I want to hit something! (Lowest) Wait, I see a roll with a different wrapper! (high) The roll had some more current dates but nothing to talk about!! (low) Roll number five, same as the first three rolls! Five rolls to go and it looks like they will be more of the same!! Me and CRH definitely have a love/hate relationship!!! That's my rant! Feel free to tell a worse story and make me feel better!!!
OK, lol, you asked for it. From years go, 18 $500 boxes of halves with no silver, our longest-running skunk. From what I can remember, anyway. And this was back when the major banks and their branches had counting machines, which was the reason we could do 8 boxes a week.
I have hunted quarter rolls for many years from banks and have yet to find any silver in them this is over a period of fifteen years and counting. I have just about given up on the bank search.
