Forum Ancient coins made me an offer I couldn't refuse: "Billion Follis Thessolonica Mint (Salonika Greek) RIC VI 375: O. VAL. LICINIUS PF AUG, Lauriate Head right. R. VIRTUTI EXERCIIUS. Mars advancing right, holding transverse spear and trophy across shoulder. B in right field. SM*TS in exerque." [I would be facetious by adding that Mars is advancing again in Europe and leaving mayhem in his wake-as he always does]. Anyway, a very inexpensive item. Got me into the hobby again after over a year long hiatus due to treasurehunter2014 putting up a fake pic for a cull coin. And a judge who rules that an out-of-state seller can sue in Ohio but not vice-versa. (What Nonsense) (Still working on perfecting photos even though I have downloaded a CT page on how to do it, not quite figured out how to 'edit' on the phone) . A long process, I cleaned him up as best I could-some may say a little 'overcleaned' but that is for the reason that I soak bronzes in a solution of BTA. (In this case for three days with another more interesting specimen which I will post shortly). With BTA one wants to remove as much 'gunk' from the surface-so that the BTA will bond with the copper ions.
You should take the photos from as close as you can get MAINTAINING FOCUS, and then crop the image. Putting lens 2cm away from the coin does nobody any favors
