    Well, I thought of that as well. I do own a struck on fragment cent (also a brockage). In my mind a fragment, based on my example below, is more of a piece of a planchet broken or severed at some point then struck. Whereas the piece that I started this thread on, and the more I think about it, it is closer to being a piece of webbing. Still probably up for debate, just sayin'.

    But here is my struck fragment:

    This example, in my mind, was at some point a complete planchet (maybe?) and at some point was severed creating a fragment.

    I'll bet not webbing as the cuts to make the planchet are too close together.
