...man, i was getting the shakes from not having new coins to post...whew, :D......just when you think you've 'bout got them all, slam!...another unknown pops up(it can be daily in here :D) one wasn't aware of...anyway, because of a recent thread by a good Peep of ours, i was educated on this somewhat controversial fellow, Aurelous who, while being proclaimed emperor by his troops, threw is support behind Postumus, and minted coins in Milan in his(Postumus) name...that reason, and i believe Doug Smith's portrait is on this coin :)...

POST YER COINS N COMMENT PEEPS!:).. IMG_1075.JPG IMG_1077.JPG Antoninianus (of) Postumus (minted by) Aurelous, Milan, 268AD, OB: Bust right, 'IMP POSTVMVS AVG' Legend, RV: Fides seated, holding patera and signum, Legend, FIDES EQUIT, 18mm, 3.75gms

Pretty nice acquisition, and agreed, definitely Doug smith’s portrait. The only FIDES EQVIT known are from officinae P (Prima), but some very rare specimens doesn’t have the officinae letter. Maybe yours is one of them ???
