yeah my brother and I will be going probably on Saturday... he's driving up from RI to go and picking me up on the way by
That's the impression I get but hey, it could just be the pictures. Either way, if they do end up with a "cleaned" details grade it's a great learning experience, and I don't know if mrweaseluv plans to sell. Eventually I need to get around to doing a PCGS submission of my own... I got quite a few tough varieties. Also a 1945 Micro S Merc that... I'm just too curious about to not pay the $25 or whatever to get it slabbed, and I'm into it for literally junk silver price, so it's not like I can lose out on it. Sometimes you just need to get an answer enough to send it in - hopefully you've felt the same way at some point.
Now that they are in the hands of NGC (I have recieved notification of receipt of package) I'll put up my best guesses/hopes for these coins 1885 o MS64 1890 s MS 63 1892 p AU-62 1894 o AU55 50/50 cleaned 1903 p MS62-63 1856 AU55-58 So now we will see how close I come as well as see how the rest of you do as well
I'm going to try to go Saturday. Might be moving though. And moving there. A few blocks from the hotel where they hold it. Waiting to hear back from the place now!
Very cool Folks. Any one in Denver. I am going to the Denver Coin show early May. I wouldn't mind looking at a few with the locals. Off the top of my head. @Evan8 @Kurisu @mrweaseluv I hope your coins come back as you graded them.
It's been about 3 weeks since I got that update on my coins. And that status has jumped around all over the place. Don't get too excited. lol
FWIW, I got the grades and tracking number for return shipping on my first ever submission today. It was the 20th business day since they logged it in their system as received. And this was Economy Tier with a 29 business day estimated turnaround. All the talk of long waits had me prepared for the worst, but I'm pleasantly surprised. I quickly got over my slight annoyance that my submission kept going back and forth between grading and quality control on their websites tracking system. Best of luck on your submissions.
This is my 1st to NGC in a Long time for me (at least 10yrs) but already putting together next months submission now (much cheaper to have some of the raw coins I already own graded vs buying similar examples slabbed for my type set
they have now moved to "Grading/Encapsulation/Imaging" So with a lil luck might have some grades next week
My guess on the LC is AU details. It looks very similar to one the I got the same grade from PCGS. I hope you get a straight grade.
Well, since you mentioned sending to NGC, saw the NGC 5468 Galaxy in a color photo, recently...spectacular, whether a connection or not...! Would make a great intro cover or cover photo for anyone with an NGC-only set/collection.
