I’m not sure if this is considered PMD or just some die chips and doubling. But I do see different coloring around the date on the D. Thanks for any input.
Thank you and I really appreciate you responding. I need to stay away from Lincoln’s. Lol. It’s weird, I know foreign and errors or good but I just find that more cents than anything have errors. So hard to judge. Ty!
If I ever get through all of the coins I’m bound to find something that will jump out. The new coins I really find the quality is not like the past. I’m thinking in the day that day may have seen an odd coin and tossed it. And also thanks for your reply also.
All Cents have errors but these copper plated zinc cents are the worse. The MD and split plate doubling are so plentiful, along with tired worn and over used dies, they are not considered errors. Too many coins have those problems. Some people think they will be worth something one day but most of us don’t.
Few and far between for quality zincolns. Hopefully, the U.S. Mint will stop producing circulating cents and go back to original copper/zinc/tin composition and only produce for collectors. One can only dream.
You are likely to find multiple colors or anything else on zincolns. WORST coin mint has ever produced. Semper Fi Phil
Hey Pam, you don't have to stop checking out Lincolns, all you have to do is stay at pre-1982. By the way your pics are great thanks.
