    The first world coin I ever remember seeing was that West German 50-Pfennig coin. It was one my dad had from his time being stationed in Germany in the late 1950s. He was also deployed to Lebanon during the "Lebanon Crisis" of 1958. No coins from there, though.

    That 1984 Indian 50-Paise coin is probably the last time that that coin was struck in India. The next year, and subsequent years, the 50-Paise was struck at the South Korean Gyeongsan Mint.
