Is the 81O a hard date to find toned?

    Nicely toned examples of the 81-O are definitely scarce.

    That’s not an unheard of price for a toner in todays market. That’s a value judgement only you can make. I agree with you about the surface condition. Like any coin I would wait until I found one to my liking.

    I read the title of this thread on the sidebar, “Is the 810 a hard date to find...”
    And I thought to myself, I think I have something struck in 810. When I followed the link, I realized my mistake and had to laugh at myself.
    Anyway, here’s a coin struck in 810 AD, or very close to, since Stauracius died in 811 AD.

    Yes, no, maybe. It depends on personal eye appeal and what you are looking for.
