1959 D LMC Unlisted Spike Head

    My old eyes see what looks like a scratch, just like the one going from the U to the forehead, but then I seldom see what you can.

    I am certain the indicated one is a crack extending from the crack in the skull. And, like you, I am certain the one from the Forehead to the U is a scratch. If you click on the photo it will enlarge and you can easily see how it extends out from a larger/longer die crack. Thanks for the feedback.

    This 1946 Lincoln seems to have more than one die crack. Question: are these worth anything in BU condition and or to send to grading?

    I think they are neat to find, nice to have and worth very little. So grading them would be a big waste. You’d never recover the costs to do so.
