Ive been reading alot of threads latley regarding the value of notes
And the fear of overpaying for them! So i thought i would start
A thread on how you make your deteminations, And which is
    A better source??

Interested to see this thread. I use neither. I have Whitman Red Book. U.S Paper Money. History, Grading and Pricing, 1861 to date. I also have Standard Catalog of World Paper Money. 13th Edition. 1961 to present. I'm open to other options though. I Look forward to seeing other posts.

Personally I think it depends on wether you are looking at estimated $ value or fair market price. I would use green sheet to determine the value of notes I have and plan to keep. I would use heritage to determine the fair market value of notes I would be planning on buying or selling, after all market demand sets true pricing and that would be heritage. Both good sources but for different reasons IMO.

For me atleast, I will have to go with the Currency Green Sheet Newsletter
    And here,s why!

Ive bid and won several items on Heritage, Which i guess is a good thing
But how can you establish a set price that someone else in the future
Will look at when there,s only 2 Bidders on an item!!! this is happened
To me more then a few times!! I really cant see the logic there!!
Atleast to me it makes no sense!!
