Thank you so much again for that article. I looked back and I knew I had a Monroe. All lettering on edge but read they had a limited minted amount on Monroe and Jackson. 2141F6F6-CC99-4368-AF22-E4B07EAC0969.jpeg D49C54F4-CF9E-4831-AD35-97E85F5213A2.jpeg

I’m not to sure about all the details as it’s minor to me but there are some Washington Dollars that have a missing on an extra dot. Somewhere on the edge a dot was used or two dots and one is missing. Not sure at all but I’ve heard about it. I have the missing edge lettering but not the dot coin.

@PamR Okay I looked. Now what? Hehehe The Presidential Dollar coins are made with the composition of:
    88.5% Cu
    6% Zn
    3.5% Mn
    2% Ni
In other words they are Copper with Manganese Brass Cladding. It looks like yours has split. I’ve never seen that before. You won’t retire on it but it is a keeper. Put in a flip to protect it.

Didn’t I mention to you that you need to stop creating these types of errors? LOL

I did put it in a flip. I posted it elsewhere and called it an incorrect statement but coming from the crown I see how.

and dang I got caught again! Lol! I just cannot seem to develop the correct errors lol! I would never but I do want to find one. :smug:

You’re more than welcome and finding errors in circulation is not an easy task.
