Welcome to CT! There are a lot of options, some of which I don't know what they do, when you post. If you're using a computer, you can click "Upload a File" to select and attach anything that you have downloaded, as long as it's a media file. That should work, I do it for photos and it's never failed. I have not tried mp4s or mp3s, nor have I tried gifs, but Jpegs and PNGs work fine. I hope I helped, good luck!
Welcome to CoinTalk - I doubt you will find many willing to click on random links, particularly from someone new. Would love to see the your coins though! Just upload them via the button under the comment box, then click on ‘full image’ so we see the full coin and not a thumbnail:
That's true, though I decided to be adventurous and click them. They are imgur links, with mp4 files of both sides of the coins. I'm in class so I don't know if he's narrating over them, but they are nice coins.
@Mr Ancient Coin Welcome to CoinTalk ancients. I agree with @FitzNigel and others. One must be careful, before clicking on a link, especially if the post is from a new person. However, 10 minutes ago, I clicked on the 1st link in the OP. But then, I thought to myself, "Perhaps I shouldn't have done that", for the above reason. However, nothing bad happened to me, as far as I know. At least, my antivirus software didn't raise any alarms. The link took me to the web site imgur.com. Here is a Wikipedia article about Imgur. I also Googled Imgur. I had never heard of it before, but it seems like a legitimate web site. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imgur Yes, if the OP would create a reply post, and attach full images to the post, then many more persons would look at the coins. For example, here are screen shots, from the OP 1st link, which I captured using "Alt+PrintScreen" on my computer keyboard, while the video was playing in full screen mode. Then, I used Microsoft Paint, to clip the images, so that only the coin was showing. Then, when editing this post, I clicked the "Upload a File" button to upload the image file. Then, after the image appeared below the text editing area, I clicked the "Full Image" button next to the image, to attached the image as a full image, where my cursor was, in the text editing area. By the way, I also saved the video as an MP4 file (the only format that it allowed it to be saved), but I couldn't upload the MP4 file, because CoinTalk said "The uploaded file is too large". The MP4 file was 25 megabytes in size. Perhaps if the video were shorter in duration, and therefore a smaller size file, then CoinTalk may allow it to be uploaded, but I don't know. Also, if the video could be converted into a moving GIF file, then that may work, but I don't know. By the way, if you include a link to a Youtube video, in a post, then CoinTalk embeds the video as a full image, that you can run, within the post.
@Mr Ancient Coin EDIT : Good job. You have some nice looking coins. The Athena tetradrachm is quite nice. And the denarii and victoriatus are very nice.
Thanks and the radiate crown? The reverse on that one is insane in hand, has a cameo-like surface which I didn’t think was possible on ancients. And I’d free a few of these only to properly restore them. I like the semi-climate controlled holders for my uncirculated coins (only).
