1948 nickel lamination error

    hello got this 1948 nickel in really good shape and i believe it is a lamination error.there is a chunk that looks like it flaked of his face and a line the runs out of it across the nickel a little and it has a slight hump to it.the nickel is perfect other than what idescribe its flat no marks on reverse and were the chunk is out its black inside? 1862csa1.jpg

    I can't tell from the picture. The picture makes it look like something that is on the surface of the coin. Try another angle for the photo , if possible.

    1862csa1.jpg i would guess the hole is 2 to 3 cm deep

    1031091543.jpg if you look at the chunk flaked out there is a slightly humped line the runs out of it to the side of the coin
